About Alice

A person-centred approach to massage

At Somatica, Alice provides massage that is completely person-centred – never routine. Each session is tailored to what your body and mind need on that day, whether the focus is recovery from injury, easing discomfort or supporting your overall wellbeing.

A journey shaped by experience

Alice’s journey into massage therapy began with her own experience of chronic health challenges. After many years of managing ongoing symptoms, she discovered that massage was one of the few therapies that truly made a difference – easing pain, improving mobility and helping her reconnect with her body.

Passionate about helping others

Alice is deeply committed to helping others feel more at ease in their bodies and more confident in managing their health, combining hands-on treatment with simple education and practical tools so people can understand their symptoms, feel less alone in their experience and build confidence in their own capacity to recover.

Professional background

Alice holds a Level 4 Holistic Massage qualification with Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology from the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork and is fully insured and registered with the Massage Training Institute. As a massage therapist based in Bradninch, Exeter, Devon, she maintains clear communication, good boundaries and a high standard of safety and professional care in every treatment.

Supporting real wellbeing

Whether you are seeking relief from long-standing pain, support through a particular recovery, or simply a calm, steady space to exhale in a busy week, Alice’s focus at Somatica is always on meaningful, realistic change that fits your life and supports genuine, sustainable wellbeing over time.

Approach & values

A calmer, slower way to work with your whole self.

At Somatica in Bradninch, Exeter, Devon, sessions are built on collaboration, consent and respect for the pace your body can manage. The aim is not just to “fix” a symptom, but to support you in feeling more informed, more resourced and more at ease over time.

Person-centred & collaborative

Your experience, preferences and history are central to every decision we make in the room.

  • Space at the start of each session to check in, adjust the plan and name any worries.
  • Options offered rather than assumptions – you choose what feels realistic that day.

Consent, boundaries & safety

Consent is ongoing, not a one-off form. You can change your mind, pause or stop at any time.

  • Clear explanations before new techniques or positions are used.
  • Touch that is negotiated and adapted – never something you have to “push through”.

Working alongside other care

Massage at Somatica can sit alongside medical care, physiotherapy or counselling as part of a wider support team.

  • Time to talk through diagnoses, medications and current treatment so sessions stay appropriate.
  • Where helpful, gentle suggestions you can take back to other professionals supporting you.

Accessibility & trauma-aware practice

If you have particular access needs, a history of trauma or concerns about touch, you are warmly invited to share what feels right in advance.

  • Sessions can be adapted with extra cushions, different positions, more clothing, quieter pacing or a focus on grounding rather than deep work.
  • The priority is that you feel respected, informed and as comfortable as possible – during your treatment and afterwards.
